I am an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Groningen (RUG) in the Netherlands. My academic fascination is lit by topics within political economy, gender and development.

I teach and supervise bachelor, master and PhD students.

Prior to joining the RUG in 2017, I was a Postdoc Researcher at the University of Göttingen in Germany. There, I worked for a large-scale project financed by IDRC/DFID after receiving my PhD on "Aid, Politics, Culture, and Growth" with highest praise.
